i have tried before, but was unsuccessful.

Importing from Excel to Navision
Hi 'Navisioner':

Navision Pilosophy is to keep the coherence in data, that´s why is not allowed to insert external information (as the one you mention) into Navision.

ODBC is mostly used to 'connect' Navision to external applications as Excel, in order to send information out from the ERP.
ODBC can also be used to insert information in Financials, but this functionallity is not really recommendable, and even Navision, advices about its consecuences.

Anyhow, the answer to your question is: You cannot insert anything into Navision without ODBC.

Hope this helps

create a dataport
have you tried creating a dataport, i'm not sure if this is dependent on ODBC or not
