A Chinese takeaway client employs a relative who is provided with accomodation rent free.
The employer is a limited company, The property is owned personally by the Directors and therefore not 'provided by the employer'.
Is a BIK charge relevant?.
Stewart Ryan
Edit:
Does the BIK charge still apply if the property is provided because of the family connection ie not provided by reason of the employment? It is unlikely that a property would be provided generally to employees in this particular case.

BIK
The accommodation is provided as a result of the employment so a BIK seems appropriate.
