Sun account system
I know that 'Sun Accounting System' may solve your problems.
And I am also a user of sun account system.
In sun account system, it provide some area for you to set up the transaction code (T code), and you can use these T Code in each entries in the journal. Therefore if you set up one of the T code is for the commodity or shares no. ,and then you can entry that T code in journal entries.
After that, you can use the report writer like 'Indside-out' , 'financial table' to set up the reports. Sun account system also provide the muli-currency functions. Each currency can contain about six exchange rate in each period.
I work in a listing company in Hong Kong and I find that it is sufficient for us to use.
Sun account system also provide the function in upload or download data from and to EXCEL or Lotus 123
I hope this information can help you

Lewis, HONGKONG
