Manager or director?
National minimum wage applies to most people - can be exceptions for directors.

limits on payments
Hi again,

I've just found in the DTI web site the limits on payments.
From 1/2/2007 it is indicated the limit of GBP 310 per week.
Am i correct? So the minimum sallary independent on the position is 310 per week?

Has the employer the obligation to declair the begining of the employments and how?

Thank you very much for you answer!!!

kind regards

£310?
Vesalina,

Where on the DTI site did you find £310? The only place google can find it on the DTI site is in relation to redundancy pay --> is it redundancy pay that you are asking?

PAYE
Veselina - does your company have a PAYE scheme? There are PAYE procedures for new employees which you must comply with. Have you tried discussing any of these questions with the company's external accountants or auditors? They may be better placed to help you.

Veselina
The link you have posted is about redundancy payments, not normal pay.

The only legislation about levels of pay in the UK is the Minimum Wage. There are no set levels for pay any any kind of job except for this.

From your questions, it seems that you expect there to be a statutory framework for salaries, but there isn't one.
