Money Laundering for a new practice

Money Laundering for a new practice

Didn't find your answer?

I am about to start on my own as a small ACCA practice.

I am confused about which route to follow for compliance.

Can all the othe sole practitioners out there offer me a bit of advice on

a) The easiet way forward (i.e. ease of use to be fully compliant)
b) Point me in the direction of customer due diligence checklists
c) Point me in the direction of any other helpful checklists

I was thinking of setting up a simple file in which would be stored, for each client;
1. copies of passport etc
2. completed due diligence or risk based checklist (when I have one)
3. Anything else I would need to keep (assistance required here)

I know these reg's are a pain but I didn't realise how much - someone else took care of it at the firm I am leaving !

ML compliance easy and paperless
The easiest way is to do it online without the headache of chasing pasports and bills , which really hacks of clients. Try using FD's online solutions ( I work for them so know all about it). The prices are keen and they will suply with you with advice and tips on how to ensure it is done right inc gettign client permission. It is well worth it and is very flexible. Unlike most others the credits purchased don't run out so you won't be caught out. Call them on 0800 2800 323 or formationsdirect.com and click on MLR

Of course, I would recommend . . .

Of course I would recommend my own product here!

Have a look at the information about our Online Policies and Procedures Manual.

From there you can see a sample 'page' from the product, including the index of chapters.
