Excel and Word are good, as you can fit one and a bit pages onto one page - easily.
My print preview in Access 2000 is a page and a bit.
Margins are too wide, fields are too wide, and I can't see shrink to fit, although it would easily fit on one page anyway.
OK - what can I do, please.
All I want to do is fit it (quickly) onto one page without copy/paste into excel.
Thanks.

Export
Have a look on the File menu (you may need to extend the menu to it's full size) for Export.
Then export the table or query to Excel, and print with shrink to fit.
Pivot tables usually have a menu icon for export to excel.
Access does not seem to have a shrink to fit function, which is a shame, maybe soon?
format
if you have the relevant table or query open, and then click to select the whole of it, you can alter the font size (I often use arial narrow at 8 point), and you can also alter the column widths, and you can save these settings separately for each view. The print preview will keep these settings, and should resolve your problem as described.
As an alternative you could try printing landscape
What are you printing?
If it's a table or query, consider using a report instead. You have full control over the layout. The report wizard will knock up a report in seconds and will adjust the sizing to fit to the page width. You can tweak it yourself afterwards if needs be.

Questions...
1) I couldn't find any landscape/portrait options anywhere
Try file and page set up - and then the page tab (this is in Access 2000)
2) How do you change an alignment to centre, as it defaults to either left or right.
I don't believe this is possible in Access 2000. I believe the alignment is related to the field type.
