Need PAYE Software

Need PAYE Software

Didn't find your answer?

Does anyone know a good PAYE software that would be suitable for a small company that has up to 7-10 part time employees. It should also do P60s, and P45s if possible.

I can't resist
I can't wait to recommend Sage Instant Payroll which you can buy from the Dixons/PcWorld etc. Cheap, simple to operate and easy to control. You have only 7 to 10 employees so it is the ideal platform.

Try TAS
TAS is as good as any. Does the payslips, year end returns etc., and is easy to use.

Cost is £99 which compares well as is cheaper than Sage/MYOB and Quickbooks, but like these others there is also an annual support fee that is needed to get the year end updates as the rules/law changes each year.

Re Philips reply below
For QuickBooks in the UK, the annual payroll subscription is £69 per year, including tax tables and year end forms etc, downloaded over the Internet or £79 on CD-ROM. Both those prices include VAT at 17.5% . The software caters for P45's, P60's, Printed P11 worksheets, BACS payment schedules etc and is very comprehensive in reporting facilities. It also produces smart payslips on plain A4 paper so there is no need to spend on special stationery.

The payroll software itself is already included on the integrated accounting system program CD-ROM and only needs an unlock code supplied by Intuit when the subscription is paid.

There are lots of options available. Just type "payroll" into the search box on this page and follow up previous questions and answers on this topic.

For a standalone product, PAYEMASTER has a lot going for it but do review the online payroll system options available.

Freeway......

Most of our clients have bought this package despite using a range of accounting products. We were impressed with what we saw, so we bought it as well. I did a years payroll for 7 employees in an afternoon, without any knowledge of the system

Year end files were on time, worked and easy to upgrade.

Payroll software
I used Freeway, till I discovered that the annual licence fee cost more thatn the orginal package. I now use Moneysoft Payroll. www.moneysoft.co.uk. visit the site and see a demo.
It holds all on the on screen which I find useful. Does weekly.2-4 weekly/monthly and all on plain paper if you want. It also can auto post to the nominal ledger if required.
