Newsagent specific software?

Newsagent specific software?

Didn't find your answer?

A client is looking for software specifically for newsagents. This is mainly to help compile rounds and raise invoices at the end of the month.
At present this is done manually and is very time consuming.
I don't feel it is essential that this integrates with accounting software - but if it does this well - at a reasonable price, it is an option.
Approximate costs of suggested software would be very useful.
Thank you.

Some ideas
David,

We don't offer any specific software, but in those instances where we have had newsagent clients the only package I can remember being used was one called "ProNews" - I think it was proflex.co.uk

Bottom line, as always, is a match of price to functions, but some things to consider..

Publications ( newspapers, weeklies, magazines, comics, etc ) have current prices, future prices from a specific date, special prices for definite periods, different prices for Saturday versus weekdays, etc, so any solution must cover this

How sold - numbers sold by round, whether an early stop should operate prior to clients going on holiday, whether shop payers, weekly or monthly accounts, whether items are to be collected or delivered, holiday dates for temporary stops, any periodicals to be retained whilst on holiday, etc.

Rounds - if you operate a paperround - should the system include the streets and roads in your operating area, allowing you to allocate each to its Round and then places each street in delivery order, etc

In essence, what you do by hand

Good Luck

Kind Regards
