NODOTS Warning

NODOTS Warning

Didn't find your answer?

Several clients have received invoices from a Danish? company requesting £499 for domain registration renewals. On close inspection it's a request to register along with a free entry registration form with a £3,000 prize. If staff are tempted to enter then they bind the company to paying the fee. At least one of my clients had posted this invoice on their purchase ledger and had set it up for payment before realising what it was.

Beware.

Nodots - No Money !!
We also received a letter asking us to pay the sum of £499.00. We to had recently changed our E-mail addresses to .co.uk. It was only from looking on the internet that i came across similar cases. We spoke to Trading Standards who are aware of them.

We've had one as well
We received one as well. It came just as we are about to set up our new website so I think they must be getting address details from new registrations.

For those who haven't seen one of these "invoices" they do look very convincing at first glance & would easily fool those without a trained eye into paying it. Of course they cover themselves by saying "if you don't want to register disregard the invoice."
