None of my business!

None of my business!

Didn't find your answer?

The business of my client's limited company is such that it can be sold to very different markets for very different prices. To disassociate the 'bargin basement' product it is planned to market the product under a different brand as a separate division of the same company.

The question is, to what extent must the identity of the limited company be displayed on the division's letterheads and advertisng material.

Would a simple 'xyz; is a trading division of abc ltd, suffice?

I know this is slightly left of centre, but help would be appreciated!

Standard business letterheading
You can trade under any names you like from whatever addresses you may choose, but all your business stationery (e-mails and website) must state the company's registered name, number, office and country.

If you have 'xyz' emblazoned at the top of your stationery, your proposed 'xyz is a trading division of abc ltd' in small print at the bottom would suffice provided you add 'registered in England & Wales No. 6543210' and the registered office address if different from 'xyz's' trading address.
