Office 07 issues

Office 07 issues

Didn't find your answer?

This are probably daft questions but:

(a) is Office 07 compatible with Windows 7?

(b) if, having installed Office 07 on my new Windows 7 PC, I transfer over from my old PC my Office 03 PST Outlook folder (to maintain email continuity) and my Office 03 Word etc files, will Office 07 be able to refer to them?

Many thanks for anyone who can give an unequivocal answer!!

Andrew

As far as Windows 7 32bit is concerned...

64-bit
Office 2007 on Windows 7 64-bit is fine. I have exactly that setup running on my own laptop.

(Most (if not all) 32-bit applications will run perfectly on 64-bit Windows. It's hardware drivers where the difference causes problems, as you have to have 64-bit versions).

Documents and data-files will transfer fine - no conversion needed.

Outlook PST files for 2003 are basically the same as for 2007 - there isn't even a conversion process needed. Just copy the file to your new PC, and Outlook 20007 will open it.

here's a Microsoft article on PST formats..
