Olympic Medals

According to the list I have seen, the total medal given out in Beijing is:

214 Gold
215 Solver
246 Bronze !!!!!!!!

I think the difference between the gold and silver is that there was a deadheat for silver and they award two and not a bronze.

Save for a typo, I don't undertand the bronze total.

Anyone got a solution?
