I just looked at OneNote on Outlook in detail. It is great for:
- Personal use - projects (home)
- Work - Ideas in one place eg Marketing, - jot down ideas, marketing buget
- Long Term Business Planning - again just jotting down ideas that come to my head
- CPD - ideas, what was learnt
Do you use it? How does it help you?
Till now I did not even look at it.

Been using One Note for ages
I find it perfect for making notes when on the phone and have it organised into separate notebooks for clients, court cases, personal stuff, etc.
Within each notebook I then open separate tabs for each client etc. Once I have updated their actual, file with "proper" notes of the phone call (as opposed to my "shorthand" when on the 'phone) I then delete it from OneNote to keep it clutter free.
Quite simply its an electronic replacement for a pen and scraps of paper. The "find" facility makes locating suff pretty easy too.
The fact it automatically saves is great too - no need to remember to save before closing.
I also find Windows 7's on screen sticky notes great for leaving myself reminders.
