P11D expenses & benefits

P11D expenses & benefits

Didn't find your answer?

It is my first year of P11Ds. Sorry to be naive, but:
1: do you send them to the local office that deals with the payroll?
2: where do section 198 claims go?

if to the same location do they go at the same time?

where can i find an example/proforma section 198 claim?

Locations
P11Ds plus your PllD(b) go to the tax office. Make sure you make and keep a copy yourself, or fill them in online.

Section 198 doesn't exist any more. It is now section 336 of the Earnings Act (ITEPA 2003). The process is still the same though - you make the claim on your tax return for the particular employment.

Address stated on P11D(b) issued by IR
Locally (IR North West Midlands and Shropshire area - an amalgamation of Walsall, Telford & W'ton tax offices) both P35 & P11D forms are to be sent to the Telford tax office.

The Telford tax office address is stated on both P35 & issued-to-employer P11D(b) forms.

However, I think that coding notice queries, s198 claims and similar queries in this amalgamated district go to the W'ton office.

Similar sharing-of-workload arrangements might be evident in other recently amalgamated tax districts.
