Irate client visisted local IR office to find out where his rebate is (Ltd company, CIS deductions). P35 filed on 12 May. He was told that the return has not been received and that I should check with the help desk. He was also told that if the return had been submitted on paper it would have been actioned within 3 days and he would have received his rebate weeks ago. Is anyone else having problems with revenue staff implying to clients that the problem is with the filer and not their own system or the fact that they can't even access their own system.

The Revenue telephoned this week asking if a P35 had been sent in - we confirmed it had been sent electronically and gave them the receipt reference. They said that was fine - they were just checking - but they confessed to being "in a bit of a mess"!!
