P60 stationery - what proportion is likely to...

As an employer we use the security mailer version of P60s. This type is not provided free by HMRC. We are using the sprocket hole stationery for infilling using an impact printer with sprocket holes.

We discovered what we believe is a production fault with our mailers as we tried to start printing on 2nd May. The problem is that the file copy peels away from the security mailer. This results in the printing losing alignment.

Our supplier does not agree that our diagnosis can be because this can be a fault with the stationery because - '1.2 million of these have been sent out and this is the only complaint that has been received'.

Is it likely that many of 1.2 million P60s would have been used by 2nd May? The deadline is to supply them to employees by 30th May.

Is there a better category for payroll related problems?
