Having discovered that HMRC’s software doesn’t support the online filing of partnership tax returns I’m now in the unenviable position of having to fork out for third party software for my only partnership client. Can anybody recommend a cheap software package that will allow me to file a return for a two man partnership? The emphasis is on “cheap” as I’m likely to only use it once and forget about it till next year.
I already use PTP for my SA and CT clients but I’m not keen on having to spend £115 + VAT to file one partnership return.
Grateful for any suggestions.
Regards
Juliet

Partnership Tax Returns
I have to agree that we should not have to pay extra to file Partnership returns. The government is pushing to get everyone to file electronically therefore they should supply the means for us to do it. On another issue, I purchased the Partnership return software from Andica, they never answer the telephone, and their software needs to be verified by an Activation key, which they have yet to supply. I therefore have the software but cannot use it to file my returns. Thanks Andica, I will expect a full refund
Digita's software allows you to mix personal and partnership tax numbers in the licence.
Is £115 onerous even for one client?
Trying to find an alternative could cost you more.
If you don't mind me declaring an interest
I'm the "tax" person behind this product so apologies for the plug
QMS Ltd produces PA2000 which is an excel based partnership return for £9.99 for a single partnership.
Download it and try it out - pay if you want to file with it - otherwise you don't pay.
