Payroll / Personnel Systems - Whats good?

Didn't find your answer?

Having recently merged our Payroll & Personnel functions we are looking to bring our Payroll inhouse (it's currently with a bureau) and also look at an alternative Personnel system. I'm curious to others experiences of a combined system as obviously there is a considerable amount of mutual information.

Website
Try this - I used the software many (many) years ago and found it pretty good. Assuming they have improved and advanced, it might be worth a look.

Pretty normal
Most modern systems will combine payroll with at least some element of HR. The more sophisticated will map the organisation employment structure and the employees attach to the structure, inheriting the payment calculations, skills requirements, etc. of the post they hold.

You don't say how big your organisation is. Implementing a combined system is fine on paper, but a large outfit with sketchily defined structures and a host of different pay schemes can be a nighmare to bring in line. How do I know? Don't ask!
