Problem with Sage - user still logged on

Problem with Sage - user still logged on

Didn't find your answer?

Running Sage Financial Controller version 8 multi user

When attempting to carry out maintenance tasks the system refuses because "Operator X is still logged on"

Problem is that "Operator X" is not logged on and closing the system down & rebooting does not help

Can anybody suggest how to remove the phantom operator?

Log on and off
This happens when you force to close down Line 50 i.e. by pressing control + Alt + delet then close down the application. Even though sage is closed donw still thinks that operator x is logged on. To remove this operator, simple solution is sign on as operator x and then sign off. When you sign on it will give you warning that operator x is logged on do you want to remore the operator, say yes. Now you can log off then you would be able to do your routine maintenance. You need to follow procedure every time you have a message that operator is logged on. I hope this helps.

Service pack
Good morning Laurie

Sarah is correct in her diagnosis and fix. However this will not resolve the problem completely and it may happen again.

To resolve completely go to the following link and download the V8.2 service pack 1:

Known issue!
Hi Laurie,

Firstly ensure that no-one is logged into Sage, then find a file called Queue.DTA. Do a search within Program Files folder. Just delete this file, and normaility will be restored.

Hope this helps,

Sarah
