Problems with HMRC Employers CD Rom

Is anyone else having problems with the latest Employers CD Rom?

I have installed the update as per the HMRC website and have opened up the firewall but can still not transfer last years data over.  At the moment the helpdesk is looking at it.  Goodness knows how long that will take and I have wages to calculate next week?

Am now seriously considering moving over to Moneysoft!

It's been driving me mad.  However after 2 weeks of trying to get through on the phone I've now been told to download the update  - I was asked why I was phoning and told them that is what their email repsonse to my "support" querry had told me to do.  Unfortunately every time I try it takes too long for them to answer the phone..  SHe obviously decided I was an idiot for not knowing there was an update - I did ask her why they didn't have that as a standard response on the email - I give in!

 

ANyway, the update has done the trick

PS - Yes move to Moneysoft

I have had similar problems to the extent of being unable to produce a P11d after the updates were installed. The reason cited by phone is because of a change in IT providers the historical records have not properly rolled forward and it is impossible to produce a P11d and/or P11d (b) without setting up the employer record again with a slightly different name. I am awaiting written confirmation of this as I was advised that if I emailed the details of my issue to them I should get the same response in writing. Essentially they have decided that the Employers CD should not be used by agents!

Good news for commercial providers.
