Yes
I had problems with 2 new clients with trying to register them online. They had both changed addresses recently and the online registration kept coming up as "failed". I asked them both to phone HMRC and notify them of change of address but still no luck. So I was resigned to ending in a paper 64-8 and waiting several months. Hey presto, a couple of weeks later they were on my online client list.
Well done HMRC.
Couple of weeks?

I'd still not call that efficient.
presumably with most pros using the
online authorisation process , the staff at Longbenton have much less to do so are now quicker.. I have always wanted to see a time and motion study are the staff required to process 5 64-8s a day or 15 or something else
