I am halfway through my ACCA quailification and I work full time in practice, however my workplace mentor qualified overseas and his qualification is not recognised here. Because of ACCA rules (although he can mentor and train me and complete 90% of my training record) he cannot sign off my PER. I am interested in maybe coming to work for a qualified member of one of the main bodies, either for a few weeks here and there or perhaps a few months as I near completion of my qualification. I would even consider working for free if it means I can get signed off. Is this something that any of you may consider? Not asking for anyone to commit, just trying to gauge whether this is a possibility, or whether I should look for another job in a firm who can sign off. However I love my current role and have a fantastic relationship with the boss and the clients so it would break my heart to leave. He understands my desire to complete the qualification and would allow me the time off to pursue this.
Your comments would be appreciated, many thanks.

My boss was QBE and they allowed him to sign off my PER, have you double checked with ACCA? They don't advertise the fact that they will allow it but if you explain they will probably let it through.
