accomodation

Didn't find your answer?

I have a client who is a sole director of a limited company. She had a contract to work away from home for a short period of time, it was cost effective for her to rent premises which I believe is an allowable expense together with the food that she bought.  However the accommodation was unfurnished so she has bought furniture and a television which she has claimed back through the company.  Can someone advise:- 1.  is this allowable, or will she have to pay tax etc as bik?  2 . How is it accounted for in the accounts, is it part of directors remuneration, or do the assets now belong to the company?
