Hello.
Have a client who moved away from mamut accountedge last year to a different system. Accountedge is software that sits on the Computer (not internet) but has a monthly licence which is checked over the internet.
He thought he had got all the data out in printouts etc but now needs to cross check something for an enquiry.
We have no problem that we cannot use the software anymore as the licence expired. So no complaints there.
But do you feel you should still be able to view the data you put into the software even after licence expires? Not edit or manipulate the data, not add to it, etc.. just view it?
So this is not a complaint; it may be fair enough that once the licence expires then all access to it expires.
What do you think?

I don't think this is uncommon.
Try calling them - they might have a read-only option at a reduced rate.
Just had a look on their website - can you not download a free trial and then load the data file?
