Xero

It depends upon how sophisticated a set of accounts that you need.

I know that Xero works with Mac - I have client with Mac computer who has his accounts in Xero which I, with a Windows computer, can also access and work with.

By "sophisticated" I refer to [last time I looked]  the inability of Xero to produce UK statutory Ltd Co accounts (it made reference to Companies Act 1993 which I think is a New Zealand legisation).

However it will produce a profit and loss account and balance sheet suitable for management accounts or sole trader accounts where all the boring details of UK companies act compliance and producing a nonsensical duplication of figures and illogical read through are irrelevant.

any cloud based accounts package

Take your choice from

Xero

Kashflow

Freeagent

Clearbooks

SAGEone

Quickbooks

They all do the same basics but depends on what other stuff you need and which interface you prefer working with.
