Active - Proposal to Strike off

Active - Proposal to Strike off

Didn't find your answer?

New client has been badly advised about losses within the company and to just "let the company be shut down" but when Ive checked Companies House the company status is Active - Proposal to Strike off.  Is there anyway to stop the strike off?  The reason for it is the annual return is overdue, the accounts are not due until November.

Thanks

Simples

Just file the annual return.

Also calling companies house and asking them to put a note on the record that this is happening would be ok.

You will probably find that HMRC would object to the strike off anyway until its final accounts and ct600 had been filed.

You can try talking to Co's House or

or if a creditor exists they can object.

You will need to be quick as they seem to be flexing their new legal muscles a bit these days.

Explain the situation, confirm the director's commitment to getting the records up to date and give a time line.

An Annual Return can't take long to do.

All of this assumes that the director wished to keep it open. ,
