Ad hoc Sage support required

Ad hoc Sage support required

Didn't find your answer?

We have various copies of Sage and have not needed any support for a long time, so have let it lapse. A client now has a bug that we woudl like to help with solving but when I have gone to see if we can buy sage cover, it is saying it needs to be bought separately for each version of sage. Does anyone know any company out there that offers blanket support across all versions or anyone who will offer support on an hourly basis? We will not need to use it very often and we are quit up on it ourselves so any queries are likely to be relatively complex.

We currently have a disappearing chart of accounts but when I have followed instructions online to copy in the standard set from demodata it made it worse.

Many thanks

You don't say which version of Sage you are using.

However, when I googled 'ad hoc sage support' there were plenty of companies  offering their services. Perhaps that would be a good starting point.

Sage line 50 version 17,18 and 19. I think.

Yes, I have already googled but was hoping someone on here may have used someone they can recommend rather than going 'blind'

We use Technology Partners for Sage 1000. This is a contract though, so not sure if they do ad hoc support.

I have no complaints with them.

Something to try.

If the program is actually running do a backup and specify 'data only' and any other bespoke features (in the 'advanced' tab).  Then re-install the software + any updates.  Then restore the backup.

ED. You may also like to take a FULL backup too, just in case!
