Ambient temperature

Presumably ambient temperature is that of the general area, i.e. away from the oven. Now we will have to start VAT'ing items above this temperature in a more blanket way, will things become VAT'able in winter that weren't in summer?

How does HMRC decide the ambient temperature?

This is somewhere between a serious question (as I'm curious) and a lighthearted observation!
