Any ideas on good sources?

Any ideas on good sources?

Didn't find your answer?

Hi,

I have been approached and asked how it may be best to conduct market research for a clients' new venture.

Does anybody have any experience with this type of thing? ie Outsource vs. In-house? Should they impose a budget limit? What would they do if they reach a limit and feel that the results are not comprehensive enough?

Any comments or personal opinion would be great.

Thanks

Outsource v Inhouse

Hi BananaMan!

Its easy to get information from suppliers on services and costs etc. Around 30% of UK businesses outsource; this is ever increasing because of bureacratic approaches to the simple concept of paying people!

Businesses preferring in-house tend to forget the salary or hourly rate paid to a payroll manager etc when they can outsource for over half the cost; on the other hand if a payroll is 10 men, monthly with no variables and runs perfectly every time it might only take a few hours.

But again, this is referring to a perfect payroll, on time every time and unchanged; if a payroll is imperfect, there are leading suppliers that have better understanding and access to HMRC etc.

Ultimately it can sometimes boil down to the kind of business or type of person; are they hands on and like to keep control or happy to let experts do it? Again the nature of the business can be a factor here.

If you'd like any information on Bond's payroll services/ inhouse software, please let me know.

Thanks

Pete
