Any suggestions on Corporation tax software ?

Didn't find your answer?

I am looking to buy a good Corporation tax software. Any suggestions? I am currently using VT for accounts production and Kashflow for bookkeeping.

I use TaxCalc

So quick & simple to use.

I have previously used CCH and Sage, and both made a simple task so damned complicated!

I hear BTC is also user-friendly, but I haven't had the opportunity to have a trial yet.

I believe TaxCalc also give a free trial. Personally, I wouldn't bother with any software supplier that will not allow you a free trial, or a demo that you can play with at your leisure.

BTC Software

I use BTC for both personal and company Tax Returns and can highly recommend them.

Also, BTC will import the iXBRL accounts from VT.

BTC

I use BTC - works well - and you can also file the abbreviated accounts produced in VT with Companies House via this software.

I have a vested interest-

I have Keytime Corporation tax software in use, each and every day and it is extremely efficient.

The transition, to IXBRL, has been extremely smooth.

Taxcalc - very easy to use.

Have also used PTP which is nowhere near as user friendly or flexible.

BTC

I have recently switched from PTP to BTC, has been very smooth move. The software is simple and easy to use, and comes with practice management which is excellant for the the price you pay.

Try PTP

I like PTP. The price is reasonable and support is much improved since they became a part of the Iris Group. I think you can get fully featured demo version.

Taxcalc

I've used Taxcalc since it first came out and I have never looked back.  Its 'Simple Step' form filling makes sure you don't make errors or miss something out.  Plus, for CT, adding the ixbrl accounts created in VT is so simple to use the proverbial child could do it.

Taxcalc

Have used Taxcalc for years and never regretted the change to this multi award winning software.

User friendly and with excellent support at the end of the telephone line on the odd occasion that its needed.

Support

Agree that the support at Forbes/Absolute is great - but I don't like the software at all.  It is clumsy and not intuitive.  BTC or Taxcalc are much better.  PTP was a great product until they sold out to Iris.

Taxcalc

Another vote for Taxcalc.

I use their corporation tax software and also their self-assessment (personal tax) software. I also had a quick demo of their accounts package, but didn't really like that one.

But the other 2 work really well and are worth a demo.

Thanks everyone

I am trying PTP and BTC. I quite like the fact that I would be able to file VT accounts online with BTC and it also has a practice management system. My spreadsheets are not enough to keep on top of deadlines. I haven't tried Taxcalc yet is there any video of it?

BTC for me. Works easily and very simple to understand. Links in well with VT.     Only slight complanint is that there's no overview to see which clients you've submitted, which you haven't yet - unlike PTP, so could be easy to miss deadlines not realising the CT600 has not been submitted.

I believe Taxcalc also links with VT but not having ever used it I dont know how much?  The abbreviated filing with BTC is a bonus and Im going to download a trial of the software in the next couple of weeks to check out the function.

Digita

I use Digita which I moved to from Taxcalc, it is integrated and easy to use. I would definitely recommend it and their patient support staff. Used to use Taxcalc which I found very easy but its really helpful to have something integrated.

TaxCalc + AML

Have a look at the TaxCalc AML Anti-Money Laundering program as well as the Tax Software.  The AML program provides a straightforward, realistically priced and easy way to carry out personal search and verity due diligence checks required by law of all tax and accounting professionals.
