Don't you like to be challenged sometimes?
Why the need for a response like that?
To offer the best possible advice to the OP.
I don't like to be challenged that much.
Building Societies are a highly regulated, highly specialized area. You can't be doing Building Society audits on the basis of training on an internet forum.
I'm amazed that anyone would see that as unreasonable.
I wouldn't waste my time even trying to give a helpful answer. The question is probably redundant like this one was:

I hadn't seen that but ....

I gave him one.
I still consider it good advice. There are points where I back off and pass the baton.
Just ignore her Lion, she will go away. She was sensitive / angry / annoying yesterday on the Birmingham thread too.
Oh - OK.
There are only about 200 building societies left. I've still got a copy of the Gray's Building Society report. I still glance through it every so often if I need a reminder about biting off more than I can chew.
I agree with lion
According to the Building Societies Association, there are now 44 building societies in the UK.
The smallest one has assets of £95 million!
Many years ago I used to be in charge of the audit of one of those. It is, as lion said, a highly regulated and specialised area. I would be very concerned at someone asking for tips on preparing building society accounts on a free internet forum.
