Anyone using PracticePA?

Anyone using PracticePA?

Didn't find your answer?

As a number of other contributors on the forums I am looking for standalone (I think) Practice Management software.

Currently testing Glide (£8.50 per month), PracticeFlow (£15 per month), PracticePA (£20 per month) and CentreCRM (£29 per month) all with varying degrees of success.

There are a few comments on the forums about Glide, PracticeFlow and CentreCRM but not PracticePA so I wondered if anyone has had a look or is using it?

The website is www.practicepa.com and no I don't have any interest other than wanting to find a cost effective standalone deadline management system.

Thanks

Mark

Underwhelmed

I have looked at all of these at one time or another. I still use spreadsheets because of the flexibility - I can change anything at any time.

Currently considering https://www.smartsheet.com/ as a middle way.

PM

Worth a look https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/anyanswers/question/practice-management-...

I signed up to PracticePA and Senta this morning, didn't like either.

How did you find CentreCRM?

Thanks Howard for the link - I had worked my way through the list and comments.

I can't believe how difficult it seems to be to find a suitable package given the vast number that are in the marketplace.

I don't want anything too complicated just something to track deadlines and progress but not at a very detailed level. Glide seems to do most things but the UI is just so cluttered and not intuitive, plus I haven't managed to get any decent reports out of it but the latter could be me. I do however like its dashboard.

I keep going back to CentreCRM but I don't seem to be able to get simple lists of deadlines etc which is my first point of call - what years ends are coming up, whose annual return needs filing etc. Perhaps need to spend more time or give them a call.

I will keep looking as I do need something soon.

I have signed up for a trial with Senta (hadn't heard of that one before) and Smartsheets above.

Regards

Mark

what tracking do you need?

What deadlines do you need to keep a track off?  If just Ltd Co with CH ie filing accounts and annual returns then you could sign up with CH, that's free, under the clients login and  you will be notified of when the annual return and annual accounts are due.  Alternatively you might want to use something like inform direct which i find really good and easy to see what is due and when plus you can do all Companies House forms/div certs and minutes via it.

If you are needing to keep track of the status of a particular job, when a VAT return is due, what payrolls still to be done, what quarterly mang accs due etc then it is diifficult to find a cheap standalone package at the prices you mention above.  You could as said above use spreadsheets which is what I did up to about 3 months ago but then moved to IRIS, which also has automail/time and fees functionality.  Although it is expensive it is in my opinion worth the cost due to the time it saves compared to how we used to keep a track of things via spreadsheets.

Glide

If your main PM requirement is deadline management then I would recommend Glide.  Sorry I don't know what UI means and I don't know what reports you expect.  I am not techy but I understand you can tailor Glide to your own requirements.  The pricing and support are excellent.
