ATED Penalties

ATED Penalties

Didn't find your answer?

I have a client who has fallen foul of the ATED regulations and filed their ATED return for the year ended 31st March 2014 AFTER the year end instead of at the beginning of the year (by the 31st October deadline last year). This means that this years return is also now late.

They have just received an HMRC penalty for £1,300 and was wondering if anyone has had any success in mitigating an ATED penalty?

Any help and advice would be very welcome.
