Audit experience

Didn't find your answer?

Hi , I am an ACMA and a CIMA member in Practice. I am currently working for a company and building up my small practice.

I am really keen to get an auditing certificate. What's the best way of getting one?

You'll need to go and work for a firm with an audit registration for a few years and rise though the ranks.  That's the only way.  And as you are not a member of a Recognised Supervisory Body you will need to think about who you will want to be registered by when the time comes and take steps to ensure you are eligible.

Thanks

As I am an ACMA over 5 years, ICAEW are happy to offer me a membership. I will have to do few additional exams it seems. The main problem is I can't go and work full time for a firm. Is there any firms offer part time working options - I am happy to work one day a week unpaid to cover the relevant hours to get the auditing certificate,

Hi

I have been trying to find something part time, I have been trying to do the same time, offering my time for free, but have had no luck

I hope that you have more luck in finding someone to assist

Competition?

I am sure one man companies like us won't be a competitor for large firms.. But it's disappointing we can't find anyone to assist in this situation.. It's a catch 22 situation..

I shall let you know if I am lucky!
