Received an e-mail from AWEB re the Goldcrest appeal and tried to follow the link to be told "access denied you are not authorised to access this page " Why??????
Is there a special group of accountants of which I'm not worthy to be a member ??

I am guessing, but if you post an article in a "Discussion Group", you get at the point of posting an option to publish it to the general public or to restrict availability to group members. They may have ticked the wrong box inadvertently.
Joining the relevant group (if this is the explanation) may be the obvious solution. There is not normally any qualifying criteria - it just takes the will to complete the process.
With kind regards

Looks like article was posted by a new contributor to Aweb and some techy procedure has gone wrong...

Hi all,
Apologies for the delay in answering - our techies have been trying to get to the bottom of this all afternoon and so far we've had no luck with it. Hopefully we can remove the gremlins from the system before too long. Will keep you posted.
Thanks for your patience,
Tom
Problem still happening?
I still get the access denied message sometimes when following email alerts. Latest one was today (20th October).
I thought it was because I wasn't logged in (to Aweb for the discussion group).
After logging in, I now get "the website encountered an unexpected error".
Thanks...
... for letting us know. I'll flag this up with our web team and hopefully we'll get to the bottom of it once and for all.
