I work from home but do others put their home address on the business card ? I am little reluctant for strangers to know my business address.

On the one hand
I can see where you are coming from but I'm not sure I would do business with an adviser who only has a PO Box address.
When you say "strangers", do you mean your clients? Do you always meet clients at their premises?
Dont then
Dont include it then - presumably you'll show your email address, website and phone number.
I'm assuming that the OP is not trading through a company.
If he is, this may be relevant:

mine's not on my business card
but it is on my website & invoices - that's my understanding of the minimum requirement for a sole trader.
Its not a requirement
When I started out I put my address on but when I had the second lot of business cards I took off the first line of the address. People can see my address if they go onto my website or receive an invoice from me but not on my business card. I know people that don't even put their name on their business card as they feel it will encourage people to look at their website. Personally no name means I'm not likely to remember who they are when I get a chance to look a their website.
I don't think that the legislation applies to business cards - only to business letters, invoices etc.
Sole traders and partnerships have to comply also, not just companies.
I have been working from a home office for 8 years
I do not think that there is an issue of having your home/office address on your card. There are very many people who are providing services and are based in a home office, and I have not had any issues showing it.
The chances are that anyone wanting to know your home address will find it easily on a Google search.
Another option is
to contact a local business centre and for a fee of around £50 per month you can use their address. For meetings normally they will rent you a room by the hour too
Paranoia strikes deep..............
Having traded from home for more than 60 years,(father before me) I've never had a problem.
Your clients will presumably know your address, so just be careful to whom you hand cards.
