Cancelling an application to strike off a company

At the end of November, I submitted a DS01 to Companies House requesting the strike off of previously trading but now dormant company. The director has just informed me that he is now expecting some unanticipated commission income . Is it possible to cancel the request to strike off (the first Gazette notice has already been posted) or will he need to treat the income as deriving from Self employment?
