capital allowances

capital allowances

Didn't find your answer?

hi all

we have a client who is a sound engineer and working from home.

he's bought a garden cabin building and fitted it out as a sound studio to work from, can we claim any capital allowances?

Probably

The cabin itself will only qualify if it's moveable (and intended to be moved in the course of the trade).  Any sound insulation in the building will qualify as P&M, and I imagine he uses more than just a dictaphone to do his sound engineering.  I feel like a dentist with this though, to be honest.
