We've had two clients in the past week receive an email with the following wording:
This message has been generated in response to the company complaint submitted to Companies House WebFiling service.
(CC01) Case for the above company was accepted on 17/02/2014.
The submission number is 123456 - www.the the clients name and co.uk
Please quote this number in any communications with Companies House.
All WebFiled documents are available to view / download for 10 days after their original submission. However it is not possible to view copies of accounts that were downloaded as templates.
Not yet filing your accounts online? See how easy it is...
Note: reference to company may also include Limited Liability Partnership(s).
Thank you for using the Companies House WebFiling service.
Service Desk tel +44 (0)303 4725 679 or email [email protected]
Note: This email was sent from a notification-only email address which cannot accept incoming email. Please do not reply directly to this message
We've not generated a compalint with Companies House, and neither have the client, so is it some sort of phishing? It's not clear what is to be gained from it.
Anyone else have clients getting these?

Have you considered whether it is informing your client about a complaint made by a third party - e.g. complaining about your client's accounts not being available when they should be etc?
See companies house website
Looks like bogus (see first example) at companies house here http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/securityAdvice/index.shtml
My advice is to check with issuing body, they are normally aware of these emails.
There is another thread about this, lots of people are getting them, I've just had one. You can tell they are bogus as Co House submission references have a 3 digit number then a dash (-) and then a longer number whereas these are just one longer number.
Check the links
Yes, it is bogus. If you hover the mouse over the links in the original you'll see that they don't all go to Companies House.
Ignore and Delete it
It is bogus, the company i work for received a similar email, I phoned Companies House on their direct number (different to the one stated on the email) and they quickly told me simply to delete it and ignore it.
Attachments
The "Companies House" fake eMail that I received had a .zip attachment.
The presence of a .zip attachment to an eMail puts it in the "dangerous / guilty until proven otherwise" category so far I am concerned (ie. think twice or three times or more before downloading the .zip file).
.zip attachments can be OK, main problem with .zip attachments is that the true nature of the file(s) zipped are concealed until opened (= until too late).
Scam
I ignore practically everything emailed to me by 'agencies' unless I am expectint them!
