Cloud based Workflow Project/Management Software

Cloud based Workflow Project/Management Software

Didn't find your answer?

Hi

I 'run' a small finance department (3) - I am not very organised and I use the excuse that we have too much to do..... and get 'dumped' on.... therefore only appear disorganised.

The reason I want to use software:

To help us organise ourselves better - milestones/to-do's etc

Better Workflow

Gannt Chart

Ability to see work schedule on one page

Ability to set goals/priority level to avoid missing deadlines.

Time recording and management

Ability to report on - eg We did not get management accounts completed on time because we were given X to do and that took Y no of days which made the management accounts Y no of days late.

So this is an aid to help us get more on top of our work, recognise the important tasks and also to demonstrate the tasks which do not relate directly to finance and the impact this has on our reporting schedule. Also to help me mange my time and my colleagues time.

I have reviewed some of the software out there but a lot of it seems to be 'project' management orientated rather repetitive monthly tasks.

Anyone use/recommend anything similar at reasonable cost £200 pa or free  for small team?

Thanks in advance.

More info

Hi,

Repetitive tasks are certainly at the back bone of our software, Glide Practice Intelligence (www.whatsglide.com) - although it is designed for a practice scenario so the templates are all designed around practice (stat acs, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT etc etc).

That said we have a fully configurable workflow engine so you would be free to make your own 'industry scenario' templates, with automated target setting etc. Also the ad-hoc workflow could be a suitable way to capture those unexpected tasks for reporting on at month end.

Currently we don't do time recording, but are building API links to a couple of systems that do, also we do not have plans for a Gannt chart.

Happy to show you if relevant.

Cheers

Ben
