The CO-OPs vouchers are taxable!

With a new Co-Op near home and a big one near our caravan on the coast, I was pleasantly surprised to get £18 worth of vouchers to splash out on all my favourite goodies (they do some great chunky vegan pasta).

The vouchers were accompanied by a sheet setting out how the points had accumulated etc and, just as it went ito the recycling bin, I spotted the words "Tax information".  The bloody things carry a taxable element net of BR tax.

So should I now be sending an addendum to all my tax clients along the lines "one extra line for the checklist - are you a Co-Op member?  Then I thought what about my 110,000 Nectar points? (yes my Nectar card is the most valuable thing in my wallet).

But is it to be declared as interest or dividend?

Also just wondered whether the tax deductions are repayable?
