Company ceased trading

Company ceased trading

Didn't find your answer?

A client company ceased to trade on 31st December 2015. I am sure that I saw a form on the HMRC website somewhere that allowed me to inform them online. Was I just dreaming?

Many thanks.

I don't think there's an online form. I usually write to them.

Are you thinking of ...

... the online form for self-employed people to notify cessation of trading?

Thanks guys

Yes, I must have been dreaming, or getting mixed up with the self employed form.

Thanks for replying.

See Company Law Library section to see the procedure etc....

https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/article/uk-company-law-library/547609#cl...

There is a section right at the bottom of the link above specifically on closing of a company and the differient methods.

The article you are most likely interested in is: Striking off a company:

>>> the article is written in checklist form detailing the procedure involved as well as practical points
