Company Check & Insolvency Information

Company Check & Insolvency Information

Didn't find your answer?

Dear All

We have recently indentified a website by the name of Company Check with the web page - http://companycheck.co.uk. We are planning to initially subscribe to this website, say for a month. However, we have a few questions that we wonder someone can answer for us

  1. Has anyone used this website in the past & how do they find it in terms of relevance of the information they required?
  2. We are aware that this website provide details about company directors such as their insolvency details but it doesn’t allow us to check for other Individuals (that are not directors). Normally when an individual gets discharged from bankruptcies their details are usually held for only 3 months on the free individual insolvency register after of which their details will no longer be available on the website thus making it inadequate for our purpose. In this regard, can anyone recommend where we can obtain the client’s previous history especially their bankruptcy/IVA information? We don’t mind paying for this as an annual subscription say for an unlimited number of clients. A web recommendation would be much appreciated

Kind regards

M

Reasonable

I use Companycheck, on a monthly subscription (about £20). I find it useful on the whole and I quite like the idea of a subscription as I'm more inclined to use it rather than pay £1 per time from Companies House for example. The downside however is that they are about 1 week behind Companies House, so for example if I file accounts with Companies House today, Companies House monitoring will inform me within a couple of days but Companycheck take at least 1 week to update their system. They inform me that they have to manually input information, however I can't believe that's true. Companycheck shows all the directors details and accounts etc but if you want to download other documents (for example the annual return) then it's £2 per item rather than £1 with Companies House. At some point I shall probably explore other alternatives but for the moment it will suffice.

cheapest

At work we need to perform 100s of credit ckecks and generate company reports for ourselves and clients.

We have tried all the options including Companies House, then I came across with www.ukcreditinfo.co.uk and their packages works out to be cheapest. Have a look at the below link!

Hope it will help.

@ I like to help
Do you have any affiliation or interest in that website at all? You've only been a member for an hour and already you've posted 3 identical posts singing their praises.

It's etiquette and useful to know, simply so that other members know what is blatant spam and what is a genuine recommendation from a valued forum member.

Perhaps you could let us know.

I recommend another website

I think you should subscribe to Compck . On this website you will find all the information which you want to know about a company. Here you can also find companies financial data, directors etc.

There are plenty of services like CompanyCheck who provides a part of company info for free and charge for retrieving a credit report.   Such as Endole.co.uk, compck.com, Intercreditreport.com. Obviously they take info from the same place. Ask for a test reports and compare them. Compare the prices. You will see how similar they are.
