Construction industry worker' admissible expenses

Construction industry worker' admissible expenses

Didn't find your answer?

Hi

Two of my new clients work in consturction industry. Contractor paid them after deducting tax.

They do not have expenses invoices. Its first time i am doing this type of tax return.

All i wan to know, which expenses are admissible? They gave me a list of expenses like; House rent, electricity gas bills, telephone, fuel, council tax, clothes etc

House bills are relating to their away cities temporary accomodations.

I will appreciate if someone recommend a source for study like HMRC material etc

Thanks in advance.

Well, you could start with the legislation. But it's a bit late to be learning a new skill isn't it? 27 January. Excellent time to start. Just stick it all down. What could possibly go wrong?

There are some good cis webinars coming up this spring - run by HMRC and free !

I recommend you safely keep your paperwork neatly in a file for your next tax return , sorry I mean advise your clients to do this ,

I advise you pay the £100 late penalty and go down the pub , sorry I meant to say take your client down the pub .
