Crowdfunding - pros and cons?

Crowdfunding - pros and cons?

Didn't find your answer?

Is Crowdfunding something you'd consider for a start up practice or how would you advise your clients as an investor or investee?

An example of how as a European cloud based SaaS we have presented Smeebi: https://www.fundedbyme.com/en/equity/start-up/413/smeebi-oy/overview/ We are open to hints and tips, criticism and praise!

It's clearly the future.
I would certainly recommend it to clients if they have been refused finance by their banks. I think It could work to help finance a practice depending on what you are proposing. If its to finance a block of fee purchase or franchise then I'm sure it could work . However if you are starting from scratch like I did the set up costs were minimal and the capital I needed was to pay for living expenses whilst the business establish itself, in those circumstances I would not think many people would be keen to fund 12 months of drawings whilst the business grew. I would not give equity way personally but would certainly take a loan.
