I downloaded the CT600 form over the weekend and completed everything but I cant get to submit this online – after all the hardwork. I get the message “adope not responding” but no error messages. I tried to call HMRC on Friday, Saturday and this morning but the lines are too busy..total wait time more than 30 mins. Could someone please tell me what im doing wrong here????

First of all, I would like to wish a happy new year to you and your family.

what you are doing wrong is: you are not using proper software. you can buy software to do this job.

Check Adobe settings

Use of HMRC's online /.pdf CT600 requires some complicated changes to security settings in Adobe (*) - so check that these required changes have been applied.

(*) Last time I saw the guidance / instructions how to amend Adobe security settings it ran to something like either 31 or 46 pages.

Adobe settings will stop the download of the .pdf form.

If newstarter managed to download and complete then it is unlikely to be the settings.

I think there was an HMRC issue so recommended a call. Once you have logged the issue, as long as it is rectified as soon as possible any complications such as late filing penalties are suspended.

Internet

Hi I have done 5 this year already.  I had one problem and it was down to internet going down with all this weather.  I eventually reset the internet and waited a wee while and the problem was solved.  I will say that the software has improved on last year.   I know it may not be the problem but in my case it was.  Best of Luck
