Directors credit rating

Directors credit rating

Didn't find your answer?

Hi - not sure if anyone on here will know the answer, but one of my client's has raised this:

If a business gets 'into trouble' can this affect a director's personal credit rating?

I assume that if the director defaults on personal guarantees then this will certainly affect their credit rating, but would anything else?

Many thanks

Nope

It will have no effect whatsoever, a credit rating is personal.

But

I once spoke to someone at Experian and if the limited company is struck off by companies house it would effect the directors credit rating.

If the company was ever to be struck off worh doing it voluntarily and paying the 10 pound fee

Resign first?

Although I never found any reference to any directorships on any of my credit reports - live, dead or past.

And how do you tell the difference between stuck off and ...er struck off? Both show as dissolved.
