Donations to Church

Donations to Church

Didn't find your answer?

I have a client who pays there local church a considerable sum every month out of there Limited company, they don't get anything in return so it's not a sponsorship or advertising but is this still an allowable expense?

Donation?

Presumably it's a donation to the church's general or fabric fund or some such thing.  You should be able to treat is as any other donation I would have thought?

are you sure it is not personal

All the main churchs have covenant schemes whereby the individual makes a contribution either in cash or standing order, the church as a charity re-claims the tax on these payments.
