I need to prepare a set of dormant accounts for a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee and have 2 potentially stupid questions - please don't shoot me down! :)
1. The amounts paid by the members - £1 each - can anyone clarify the accounting entry for this? Dr Cash, Cr ?
2. There is no requirement to submit accounts to the Charity Commission - the accounts to be filed at Companies House - can I submit a straight forward CLG dormant company set of accounts? I use IRIS Accounts Production but don't have the Charities module as this is the only charity I'm involved with... I'm hoping I can edit a regular dormant company format and submit?
Any help much appreciated!

CLG
Companies limited by guarantee do not have shares so any money paid in be members will be donations or possibly membership fees.
As far as Companies House is concerned they do not distinguish between charities and other companies limited by guarantee.
Workaround
A workaround suggested in this forum in the past is putting in a share capital of £1 to get around the online filing problem.
