Didn't find your answer?

Hi

Just received this email from Diana Watson, with a zipped attachment regarding some complaint about services.

I have never had any dealings with such person, I may think its a scam? there are no numbers to contact on the email.

Thought to share this.

kind Regards

Do not open the ZIPPED file, it is a virus.  There are loads going around at the moment, including Companies House, HMRC, Land Registry.  If it has a zipped file attached delete it.

Never open a zipped file - ring Sage's main line and ask for the person in question if you're concerned.

Remember to run a virus check on your computer too.

I had this ...

... I forwarded it to my SAGE account manager!

Mine had no zip attachment, but the attachment seemed to be in the body of the e-mail

Had three all this morning between 04:30 and 05:00.  The attachment appears to be a .txt file.

The three have come to three different email addresses and purport to concern a complaint by someone I've never heard of.   In any case, we've had no clients using Sage for the last couple of years.

Very amateur attempt at phishing I would suspect.

It is becoming a bit of a bore now ...

... there are more phishing e-mails than real, even more than those with girls desparate to meet me or ones selling [***] incase I suucumb to temptation:  I find myself running the AV scan daily now just in case I inadvertently let one in!
